Sourdough Starter

This actually works WELL! We had an issue with gnats recently and they kept getting into our starter so we had to start over. Thankfully, I think we got the gnats gone. Turned out there was a towel in our pantry that was covered in fruit that someone wiped up and did not know. Now it's gone. You Will Need: 100g Water (filtered) 100g Flour 1 tsp Yeast

Strawberry Glaze

This strawberry glaze can be used for pie fillings, topping on cheesecake, or on top of ice cream! Yummy!! I am sure I will be asked this often so I will answer it now, here.. Yes! You can use; strawberries (as I have), blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries (I have only tried this recipe with these berries, nothing else).
You Will Need:
1 Cup Fresh Strawberries, cut
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
3 tbsp. Arrowroot
3/4 Cup Water
Add sugar, water, and strawberries to your pot
Mix a tbsp of water with your arrowroot powder
Keeping these aside, boil the strawberries for 5 minutes
Add your vanilla and powder mixture and continue to reduce until you research your desire thickness
I boiled for 10 minutes, stirring often! Remove from heat, and place in fridge to cool completely (this will thicken it up more)
YUM!
