Rice-a-Roni

These make the best Christmas gifts ever. Who does not appreciate food, made with very minimal ingredients. I sure do and would love these as a gift. Esp since each 32 oz mason jar holds 3 servings or 3 meals each. I included 1 Spanish rice, 1 chicken, 1 beef and 1 brownie mix for each person we are gifting too.  You Will Need: 6 Cups Rice 2 Boxes Fideo Noodles Chicken:  2 Cups rice 1 Cup Fideo 1/2 tsp Pepper 3 tbsp Chicken Bouillon  1 tsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Garlic Powder Beef: 2 Cups rice 1 Cup Fideo 2 tbsp Parsley Flakes 1/2 tsp Pepper 3 tbsp Beef Bouillon 1 tsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Garlic Powder Spanish Rice: 2 Cups rice 1 Cup Fideo 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Minced Onion 2 tbsp Tomato Bouillon  1/2 tsp Chili Powder 1/2 tsp Cumin 1/2 tsp Onion Powder 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder  To Make: heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet with 1 cup rice/noodle mix. Best Green Smoothie Ever

One of my favorite results of the Vitamix was a "green smoothie" remix, I recreated when wanting something new, yet healthy and packed full of nutrients. I threw a little of this, a little of that, and bam the Incredible Hulk Favorite was born! The smoothie is named Incredible Hulk because my son loves Hulk and not only that, the smoothie provides a strong punch without being 'too' over powering. It packs a mean punch to keep you healthy and satisfied. The best thing of all, the children have no idea what they are drinking, they just love the flavors. No idea it has spinh (lettuce as they call it) and all those yummy vitamins from all the fruits.  


The Incredible Hulks Favorite:
- 1 Peeled Organic Orange
- Handful of Organic Spinach
- 2 Cups Ice
- Quarter of a Organic Lime (with rhine)
- Quarter of a Organic Pineapple (with rhine)
- 1 Organic Kiwi (peeled)
- Half a Organic Banana (peeled)
- 4 tbsp of Organic Agave Or Organic Raw Honey
- Blend until it is smooth and enjoy (do not serve over ice, just drink as is)
Giving what the Vitamix can do, I am certainly pleased to have spent the money on one. Not only does it replace all the above appliances, plus some, it comes with a 7 year warranty. During a demonstration at Whole Foods Market Dublin, I asked the lady "how do you know these machines are worth what you are paying, how can you be sure they will last?" I have had, over the past 4 years, 7 different blenders, all of which break or die off within 7 months, because we use them too much. She told me that one lady who had bought one 20 years ago, still to this day uses her 20 year old Vitamix and actually decided to upgrade to a newer version, to see what more it offers compared to hers from 20 years ago. My jaw hit the floor when I found out she has used her machine for 20 years! Daily too! I could not believe it. I asked Daniel, 20 year machine or 7 months?!? Hmmm... That was too easy! So, we picked once up that day.
